A large, orange, silk scrunchie made from genuine kimono material.
This piece is made from an orange silk with a cream pattern. It also has a shibori effect printed on it (white dots, with an orange centre).
I purchased a bolt of this kimono material from a kimono maker in Kanagawa, Japan when I lived there (the material has never been used, unlike some of my other pieces that are made from reclaimed kimono silk).
The material feels soft, yet thickish, and crisp. The width of the material is approx. 3inches. When laid flat, the piece is roughly 7.5inches across. As the material is a bit thicker than some silks, it holds its shape fairly well.
This scrunchie contains 1/4inch elastic, around 7inches in length, so the piece can be worn in the hair or comfortably on the wrist. As the material is fairly wide, it is a statement piece.
The one you receive may not be exactly the same as the one in the pictures, due to variations in the pattern.
NOTE: This listing is for the sale of the scrunchie only. Nothing else in the images will be included.
