When I lived in Japan it felt right and necessary to visit the Peace Park and museums in Hiroshima, and Nagasaki. I took this image of the Atomic Bomb Dome in the Peace Park in Hiroshima. Despite being almost directly where the bomb fell, the building remains standing, and is an enduring reminder of the event. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 1996.
